What is the role of the university in the growing municipal movement? How do scholars study radical urban politics and how might they best serve urban activists? How might the academy participate in transforming institutional power? We invite academics, scholar-activists, and other interested publics to attend a session in which we examine the interplay between scholarship, activist research, and municipalism. We will share some of our experiences studying these movements, in addition to brainstorming lines for future action. We welcome critical dialogue.
