Adriane Ackerman’s contact card reads: Researcher, Rabble-rouser. She holds dual degrees in Political Science and Urban and Public Affairs from Portland State University and is pursuing her graduate education in Public Administration and Policy. After 15 years of large-group facilitation and coordinating mass actions, Adriane discovered municipalism and fell immediately in love with the models that make it work. In 2016 she co-founded the Portland-Metro People’s Coalition - a policy-focused, municipalist effort that has grown to include 20 prominent local and statewide organizations, representing tens of thousands of members.
