Gwendolyn Winston

Gwendolyn Winston, designs and facilitates participatory processes for change and transformation initiatives employing art, storytelling, dialogue, movement, music. For the past five years Gwendolyn has facilitated racial equity and justice initiatives, forums, and community engagement.  She launched the formation of racial equity hubs in Detroit, Flint, Benton Harbor and Baraga, Michigan taking on decolonization and healing justice as her centering lens. Gwendolyn is lead facilitator for the Detroit Equity Action Lab, a program of the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at the Wayne State University Law School in Detroit and has worked on strategies and campaigns to elect African American women to political office from precinct delegate to presidential politics among many other activities.
