Laurent Levesque cofounded and coordinates UTILE, a Montreal-based nonprofit that builds affordable student housing in Québec, Canada. He is the current chair of the youth wing of the Chantier de l'économie sociale and a co-organizer of the Transform Montreal series of conferences on economic democracy. Before that, he was involved in multiple causes including student activism. After a degree in urban planning and a short graduate program in Urban economic development, he is currently a candidate for a M.Sc. in Management and Social innovation at HEC Montréal.
