Vicente Rubio-Pueyo
I teach as an adjunct instructor at Fordham University. As a researcher, I'm currently working on a book on political cultures, State and movements in Contemporary Spain, from the 70's Transition to the post-15M present context.
A Spaniard living in the US for more than 10 years now, I have been active in building connections and mutual understanding between social and political movements and forces in Spain and their US counterparts, such as the 15M, the Municipalist Confluences or Podemos. I've been a collaborator with Left Forum and the Global Platform on Participation and Protest, among other academic and political programs and organizations. Now I'm part of Nociones Comunes / Common NYC, a recently formed collective for political education and militant research. I'm also part of Fearless Cities North American organizing team.
Among other works and publications, some months ago I authored a study on Municipalism in Spain, published by Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung-NYC Office. It can be downloaded here: http://www.rosalux-nyc.org/municipalism-in-spain/ (in English and Spanish)
