A generative strategy session that will encourage practitioners, researchers, and observers to approach community land trusts with a critical eye, grappling with questions of governance, political application, the role of the state, long term sustainability, and their role in the broader movement to preserve and create housing for the lowest income community members. Our goal for the session is to improve the way the model is implemented in American cities. We envision the session as a beginning of a longer conversation that could continue to support participants after the conference.
